There is a story series told by Jamaicans in the past about three men called Black Man, White Man, and Chinie Man (aka Chinese). These stories are usually filled with fun and laughter. Although, if one is a critical thinker, these stories could be viewed as having a moral to them, coupled with truths about the daring & comical personality of the black man.

Allow me to introduce you to one of the many stories about these three men. Here goes.

On one dark night, Black Man, White Man, and Chinie Man were travelling on their motor cycles along a particular corridor, heading in the same direction.

Upon looking ahead, they all saw two headlights coming in their direction. White man saw the lights coming and assumed that it was a car, he decided to take the left side of the road. He safely went by. Chinie Man, on the other hand, decided to take the right side of the road in an effort to give the lights room to pass. He safely went by.

Black man, proceeding along the middle of the road, and believing that the two headlights represented two oncoming motorcycles, shouted to the drivers, “Middle me! Middle me!”. Slam!!!!.

Lo and behold, his assumption was incorrect. Black man got hit by a motor truck instead of enjoying free passage. Lol. End of story.
